Review of my New Year Predictions

On the 1st January 2007, I predicted ten things, It is now nearly September so time to review them and see where we are at:-

My predictions for 2007 were:-

1. A famous young celebrity will die because of crack addiction, shocking the world into doing something about it.
Not happened as yet, but I have a feeling that there are two candidates in the UK helping kids focus on the bad side of fame, namely Pete Doherty and Amy Winehouse, I hope they clean up.

2. Fidel Castro will die and Cuba will become part of the USA.
Again, he is still alive and I doubt Cuba will change..

3. Bin Laden will be found dead in a big city.
Strange one this, he is starting to talk again, so we will see.

4. The spice girls to take over the world's music scene.
Greatest hits album coming out and World Tour. Got it right I think.

5. Robbie Williams to get married to an equally big celeb and divorce within three months.
He has been quiet so time for some publicity, would be good for him.

6. Britney Spears to make some music.
In the recording studio but she needs help.

7. Spurs to make it to the Champions League and win UEFA Cup.
Made Semi-final of cup and narrowly missed the Champions League by one place.

8. Fuelmyblog.com will be the next big thing.
Will be, I am working on that!

9. I will do a triathlon..somehow!
I broke a toe the week before, and missed it, getting back into shape, still time.

10. Finally...a major political leader to be assassinated, the world to be in shock like JFK.
Saddam Hussein was assassinated but that was around the time I wrote this so doesn't really count, will have to wait and see.

The Sun Newspaper

So, I am still awake, it is nearly 1am in France. I am launching the new site fuelmyblog.com (more later) and I thought I'd read the Sun for the first time in weeks, online.

Now is it me but...They are a bite behind aren't they? http://www.thesun.co.uk/article/0,,4-2007000558,00.html I mentioned this Britney Spears thing on the 22nd December. Come on the Sun. You must surely have more to mention than that???

New Year Hangover?

So..here we are again, facing a new year. The above picture is there to cheer me up today!

What will happen in the next year depends on what you do. How many have decided to stop smoking, how many have quit the booze? One thing is for sure, today is the first day of the year. Celebrate it, enjoy it and get ready for a big year.

Britney Spears - Can somebody tell me what she does?

Ok, so today I am asking a simple question.


What does Spears do?

Britney Spears is in every paper in the English speaking world every day. She is still in the top five searched terms on the web. Yet, every time I read about her, she just seems to be drunk or showing 'things' ladies shouldn't (unless wife or girlfriend or in Diamonds and Pearls in London!). Ask me about lapdancing, I could tell you some stories!


So, as Christmas is here and things have slowed down, I thought i'd do a little google on her myself. The number one site - of course - is hers. I got as far as the homepage and saw the following:-


Her homepage is a kind of apologetic attempt to justify showing her bits and getting drunk..Also thanking an underwear company for covering her up..so there's a couple of million in sponsorship!

If anyone is reading this from Calvin Klein, I could get my nuts out time after time for a million pound cover up?

So, apart from getting obviously paid to show herself by underwear companies, what else does Miss Spears do? Apart from some form of perfume she released?

Not a lot really. Why do I care, well I don't really, it's just that I don't really understand why Britney Spears is googled so much.

Yeah I do, I just added to the stats...maybe that's why?
